By using Get Signatures, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Service Description
Get Signatures ("Service") provides electronic document signing capabilities. The Service allows you to upload documents, add signature fields, and collect legally binding electronic signatures from recipients.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
3. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Ensuring documents you send comply with applicable laws
- Obtaining consent from recipients before sending documents for signature
- Verifying the legal validity of electronic signatures in your jurisdiction
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
- Send fraudulent, misleading, or illegal documents
- Forge signatures or impersonate others
- Distribute malware or harmful content
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
5. Service Warranty Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
- The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free
- Electronic signatures created through the Service will be legally valid in all jurisdictions
6. Limitation of Liability
Our maximum liability is limited to $100 for free tier users, or the amount you paid us in the preceding 3 months for paid users.
We are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account
- Legal disputes arising from signed documents
7. E-Signature Legal Compliance
Electronic signatures may be governed by laws including the US ESIGN Act, UETA, and eIDAS (EU). You are solely responsible for determining whether electronic signatures are legally valid for your specific use case and jurisdiction.
8. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: Email address, name (for signatures)
Usage Data: Document count, login timestamps, feature usage
Technical Data: Browser type, IP address (for security)
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
Zero-Knowledge Architecture: We cannot read your documents. All documents are encrypted client-side before upload. Our servers only store encrypted data that we cannot decrypt.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the Service
- To send transactional emails (signing invitations, confirmations)
- To send account-related notifications (usage limits, security alerts)
- To prevent fraud and abuse
4. Information Sharing
We do NOT sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Service Providers: Email delivery (Resend), hosting (Cloudflare)
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
5. Data Retention
- Signing Sessions: Deleted 7 days after expiration or completion
- Account Data: Retained until you delete your account
- Unverified Accounts: Automatically deleted after 30 days
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your data

We use essential cookies only for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

E-Signature Disclosure
Electronic Signature Consent
By signing a document electronically through Get Signatures, you consent to:
- Conduct the transaction electronically
- Use electronic signatures instead of handwritten signatures
- Receive documents and notices electronically
Legal Effect
Under the US Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN) and state Uniform Electronic Transactions Acts (UETA), electronic signatures have the same legal effect as handwritten signatures in most circumstances.
Important: Some documents cannot be signed electronically, including wills, family law documents, and certain real estate documents. Check your local laws.
Withdrawing Consent
You may withdraw your consent to electronic signatures at any time by declining to sign. This will not affect any signatures already provided.
Hardware/Software Requirements
To use the Service, you need:
- A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
- Internet connection
- Email account to receive signing invitations
Security Practices
Zero-Knowledge Encryption
Your documents are encrypted in your browser using AES-256-GCM before being uploaded. The encryption key never leaves your device. We cannot read your documents.
Infrastructure Security
- Hosting: Cloudflare Workers (edge computing)
- Data Storage: Cloudflare KV with encryption at rest
- Transport: TLS 1.3 encryption for all connections
- Authentication: Secure password hashing (Argon2)
Session Security
- Signing links expire after 7 days by default
- Each recipient gets a unique, non-guessable signing link
- Sessions are deleted after completion or expiration
